Reports have emerged that the killer of Patricia O’Connor, the woman found dismembered in the Wicklow Mountains this week, attempted to bury Ms O’Connor’s body in a remote town in Wexford before cutting up her body and dispersing parts around in the mountains.

The Rathfarnham woman was reported missing from her home on June 2.

According to Dublin Live, the killer tried to bury Ms O’Connor’s body intact in a shallow grave in Kilmuckridge, County Wexford, but then panicked, returned to the scene and cut her body up in order to disperse elsewhere.

Both Kilmuckridge and Blackwater in Wexford are currently under examination.

It’s believed that O’Connor was killed during a violent row in a house in Rathfarnham, in which she was hit over the head with a blunt object.

Her killer is believed to have used a hacksaw to then dismember her body and disperse her remains along Military Road, County Wicklow.
