President Higgins hands newly appointed Taoiseach Micheal Martin with the seal of office.
As we found out from the vote earlier at The Convention Centre, Micheál Martin, who has led Fianna Fáil since 2011, has been voted Taoiseach of Ireland.
Ninty-three TD’s voted in favour of Micheál Martin while 63 voted against.
His next port of call was to travel to Áras an Uachtarán where President Michael D Higgins would sign Martin as Ireland’s new Taoiseach.
