RTÉ News host Caitriona Perry has announced that she’s expecting her first baby.
The Six One presenter confirmed on Twitter that “eagle-eyed viewers” who had contacted her were right about her pregnancy news.
Formerly RTÉ’s Washington correspondent, the 38 year old took over from Sharon Ní Bheoláin and Bryan Dobson as an anchor on Six One News in January last year, alongside Keelin Shanley.

Caitriona wrote, ‘To all the eagle-eyed @rtenews #SixOne viewers who have been in touch...you are correct!
‘I am expecting some ‘news’ of my own later this year.’
Her fellow RTÉ colleague Miriam O’Callaghan said it was “fantastic news”, while Eileen Whelan told her, ‘Big congrats! Absolutely delighted for you and Ronan!’
Caitriona's co-presenter Keelin also tweeted her congratulations, adding that they're "all delighted".
