Scary Weather Warning Issued By Met Éireann Ahead Of Weekend

Darragh Berry

As we head into the weekend, Met Éireann has issued a rather weird weather warning.

The status yellow weather advisory is for the whole of Leinster and Munster and will see “soil moisture deficits remaining in excess of 75mm over the coming week.”

The warning is in place until Wednesday 25 July at 3pm and Met Éireann has said that it will update the situation then.

Soil moisture deficits sounds like another drought could be on the way ergo, say goodbye to the freedom of using water however and whenever you like, folks.

Friday will see high temps of 18 to 21 degrees in light west breezes although it might remain cloudy over Leinster and Munster for most of the day.

It will be a mostly dry day on Saturday but it will become very warm and humid on Sunday and Monday followed by fresher conditions with scattered showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sat temps will be between 16 to 22 degrees while top temperatures on Sunday will be in the low to mid twenties in a light to moderate westerly breeze.
