A major fight is brewing in the RTE studios.
RTÉ has confirmed that Sharon Ní Bheoláin lodged a formal complaint against her boss and “refused” to go on air to present the news.
Head of News and Current Affairs, Jon Williams is said to have had a big fight with the news presenter.
Eileen Whelan had to fill in for Ní Bheoláin at the last minute and Ní Bheoláin has not been on the 9 o’clock news.
The fight stems from Williams’ decision to have Catriona Perry co-host the nine o’clock news during a crucial Westminster vote.
Ní Bheoláin was said to be annoyed and felt that she had been undermined in her role by her boss.
