Human remains have been found at a house in County Louth.
The grim discovery was made by builders renovating a home on Mary Street North in Dundalk yesterday evening.
Gardai have sealed off the scene and a major inquiry is underway to try and establish the identity of the skeletal remains.
The Irish Times report the remains were found shortly after 5pm yesterday. It’s still unclear where the remains date from or how the person died.
Investigations are continuing.
