While the match last night was a bit of a snoozefest, Martin O’Neill will be satisfied that his Republic Of Ireland side came away from Denmark with a 0-0 draw.
It seems that we weren’t the only ones who thought the game was a bit boring as newspapers from around Europe have been documenting that neutral viewers would have been better off watching paint dry.
Fair enough, but we spotted something in one of the newspapers which we had a bit of trouble with.
Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport have gone with the term ‘I britannici’ when referring to the Irish team which, when translated, means ‘the British’.
Bit more research needed, lads.
