Cadbury show their continuous support for Irish sports.

Cadbury is now an Official Partner with the Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team, just as the FAI announced their plans for equal pay amongst the Men and Women’s Senior teams. It is amazing to see the significant steps to support women in sport in Ireland. The partnership with Cadbury only serves to improve conditions further and give women more opportunities.

Eoin Kellett of Mondelez Ireland says: “We’ve seen the team go from strength to strength in recent years and are looking forward to supporting them as they aim to reach the World Cup in 2023 and beyond.

Cadbury will aim to help the FAI raise awareness on women’s football. As an official partner, Cadbury plan to support the women’s team by improving club facilities and raising team member profiles. Cadbury also hope that through funding they will encourage more women to participate in the sport. The funding covers new kits and assists in the running costs and fees of the club.

Jonathan Hill, the CEO of the FAI, says of the partnership: “we are continuing to develop all areas of the game in order to improve structures, increase participation and enhance the profile of women’s players in Ireland.”

The National Team welcome Sweden to Tallaght stadium in their first 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier on Thursday.

This is great news for all the Irish gals out there with dreams of playing football for Ireland.
