After nearly a year of deliberations, Declan Rice has finally made up his mind to represent England for the rest of his international career.
The 20-year-old starred for Ireland’s underage teams and won three senior caps under Martin O’Neill.
This afternoon, the West Ham United midfielder released a lengthy statement outlining his reasons. It states he has sent a ‘written request to FIFA to transfer his international registration from the Republic Of Ireland to England’ and added that ‘my pride at wearing the Irish shirt was always 100% genuine.’
