Leave The June Bank Holiday Free Because It’s Set To Be One Of The Biggest Sporting Weekends Of 2019

Lovin' Media

If you’re into sport, whatever you do, don’t accept any invitations to weddings, christenings or funerals on Saturday June 1.

Okay, that might be unnecessary advice but wherever you may be during the day, make sure you’re sitting in front of a TV once the evening arrives. It has just been confirmed that World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua will defend his titles against Jarrell Miller across the pond at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday of the June Bank Holiday weekend.

On these shores, the fight is likely to go live in the early hours of the Sunday morning but if it’s an appetiser you’re after then they don’t come much bigger than the Champions League Final.

The European football showpiece will kick off in Madrid at 8pm Irish time so make sure you’ve got your dinner down you nice and early.

With the evenings getting longer already, we can almost taste the summer from here.
