Red alerts are flying at us faster than lightning and Met Éireann has issued its latest on for these eight counties at 8pm on Thursday night.
A Status Red Snow-Ice Warning has been issued for Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Cork and Waterford
They say that further disruptive heavy snow showers are expected overnight with significant accumulations.
It has been put in place immediately and will stay in place until 12pm on Thursday.
A Status Orange Snow-ice Warning has also been put in place for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal from Thursday at 8pm until Friday at 12pm.
Met Éireann’s forecast for the night states that there will be widespread snow showers with further accumulations expected. It will be very cold with temperatures below freezing in fresh and gusty easterly winds.
There will be further disruptive snow showers overnight, especially in Leinster, south Munster and parts of east Connacht.
Significant accumulations are expected with widespread severe frost and ice. Lowest temperatures of -3 to -8 degrees in fresh and gusty easterly winds.
Lads, tomorrow is a day for the cot too, don’t even think about moving.
