Taoiseach says we could have a vaccine by the second half of December.
In an interview with Virgin Media, Michael Martin says that he praises the work of the European Commission and the president on coordinating so well regarding the vaccine.
He then continued to say that it could be “the second half of December that they will get authorization”.
Talking about how some people might hesitate to get the vaccine, he says that “it’s estimated we would need a 70% take-up of a vaccine to give heard immunity”,
“In the context of the vaccine, everything you have been doing has been worth it” as Martin says he knows how tough it has been for people and urges people not to fall at the last hurdle.
