Tayto Park is holding a day in their amusement centre to cater for attendees with autism.

The Meath activity park will have an autism-friendly environment for children and adults who have the neurological condition.

The Autism Awareness day will take place on May 12th, with autism friendly amenities scheduled all day.

Tayto Park will have no music or hand dryers turned on throughout the park on the day and queues for park attractions will be reduced and kept to a certain minimum, so as to avoid sensory overstimulation.

The amusement park has created a Stories option for more information on the event which can be viewed here.
