Chilly Halloween Night Expected As Temperatures Plummet Across The Country Tonight

Jen

It looks like it’s gonna be a very chilly Halloween night as temperatures are set to plummet to between 2° and -2°tonight.

Today will start off dry and bright in the south and east and showery in the north and west.

Some rain and drizzle will affect the east and south-east later today with top temperatures of 7 to 10°.

Temperatures will drop dramatically tonight, so make sure to wear warm clothes underneath your costume this year if you’re going trick or treating!

Met Éireann predicts the coldest temperatures will be reached “in the Midlands and east with a sharp frost and some icy patches. Some fog patches will develop also.”

It will be dry again tomorrow with top temperatures of 8° to 10°.

While Storm Oscar probably won’t make landfall we’re in for some pretty wet and windy weather in the second half of the week.
