The Food Safety Authority Has Issued A Warning About These Easter Eggs

Alana Laverty

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has just issued a warning over undeclared barley in two Lindt Easter Eggs.

Lindt & Sprungli Ltd reported that some Lindt Easter eggs were placed in incorrect packaging which didn’t declare the chocolate contains barley malt extract.

The incorrectly labelled batches may be unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of barley.

The affected eggs are:

Lindt Excellence Dark Extra Fine Shell Egg, best-before end: 10-2017; batch: L7018; pack size: 220g.

Excellence Egg

Lindor Strawberry & Cream Shell Egg, best-before end: 07-2017; batch: L6334; pack size: 285g.

Ln 413554 Bp 11

Better you found this out now rather than from an allergic reaction on Easter Day.
