The Jobs With The Highest Starting Salaries In Ireland Have Been Revealed

The jobs with the highest – and lowest – starting salaries in Ireland have been revealed in a new survey.

The average starting salary was €33,574, though that varied greatly between specific professions and award levels.

The new research from the Higher Education Authority found that arts and humanities graduates came out with the lowest starting salaries at €24,728, as reported by the Irish Times.

Those who did agriculture, forestry, fisheries and veterinary studies came in next at €29,736.

Education graduates came out on top, with an average starting salary of €38,701 nine months after graduating.

It also found that they had some of the best employment prospects as 93% were in jobs or just about to begin one.

Engineering graduates at were also among the top earners at €36,817, followed closely by ICT graduates with €36,135.

Those who studied health and welfare were next in line with an average of €34,099, followed by business, administration and law at €33,173.

A master’s degree salary was higher than the overall average, coming in at €40,849. Those with a doctoral degree started on an average of €45,325.
