The President Of The Olympic Council Of Ireland Has Reportedly Been Arrested In Rio

Pat Hickey, the president of the Olympic Council Of Ireland (OCI), has reportedly been arrested in Brazil.

The Brazilian media has claimed that the Irish official was arrested this morning at the hotel Barra da Tijuca.

However, it’s been reported that at the moment of his arrest Hickey appeared to fall ill and was brought to the hospital.

According to the Irishexaminer.com, the OCI will issue a statement on the situation shortly.
