Some lucky duck has become €5.6 million richer after winning Saturday night’s lottery.
Nope, we’re not jealous at all.
And it has now been revealed that the winning ticket was sold in Bernard Lynch’s Centra shop in Crosshaven, Co Cork, and we’re sure there’ll be queues upon queues of people waiting to purchase a ticket here from now on.
Speaking about the winning ticket, Mr Lynch, who is currently holidaying in Lanzarote, said he was delighted for the winner, according to the Irish Independent.
“It is great for Crosshaven though of course we haven’t a clue if the winner is even a local.”
He added: “It is the first big winning ticket we have sold though we have sold quite a few tickets which won smaller amounts.”
The winning numbers, which scooped the lucky winner a nice €5,685,384, were 2, 17, 24, 25, 35, and 40, and the bonus number was 36.
