An Taoiseach Micheál Martin will address the nation this evening at 6pm, when he is expected to unveil details of Ireland’s revised Living with Covid plan.
It has already emerged that Ireland will likely remain under Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions until April 5 at least. Other details include the phased return of schools from March 1, as well as updates on the 5km exercise limit, household visits and a timeline of the reopening of the construction, hospitality, retail industries and more.
Over the weekend, An Taoiseach Micheál Martin suggested that he doesn’t expect hospitality to reopen until mid-summer, leading to a lot of negative feedback online. Many will hope that the new Living with Covid announcement will allow for a clearer outlook on the reopening of industries.
It has now been confirmed that Mr. Martin will make his announcement at 6pm and it will be broadcast live on RTÉ and Virgin Media.
