The Wicklow Wimbledon Hero Is Auctioning Off His Famous Skirt For Charity

Over the weekend, Chris Quinn from Greystones captured the hearts of the nation and the tennis world as a whole by joining in with Kim Clijsters and her pals for a game of women’s doubles at Wimbledon.

The craic was had by everyone present and the now 2.7 million people who have watched the clip on Youtube. If you happened to miss the story, check it out the footage below. 

Now, Chris has decided to give back after his 15 minutes of fame and is auctioning off the skirt which was given to him by Clijsters as he took to the court. 

Chris’ gesture is in aid of the Gavin Glynn Foundation which helps terminally ill children and he said:

“It’s rare that you’d get tennis stars at the top of their game on the floor of the court at Wimbledon laughing. I couldn’t believe how popular the clip got and I knew I had to do something great with this.

“The Gavin Glynn Foundation do incredible work. Their cause is close to many people’s hearts here in Greystones.”
