These Are The Best And Worse Airlines For Flight Delays

Sarah

There’s nothing worse than rushing to the airport in order to have plenty of time to spare for essential duty free shopping only for your flight to be delayed for hours and hours on end.

Actually, missing your connecting flight because of a delay is WAY worse.

According to Which? less than 75% of flights actually arrive on time, which is bad news for travellers on a tight time-frame.

So how do you plan which airline to go with for the least delays? Which? did a handy little survey looking at more than 850,000 flights arriving into Britain and found out.

Among the most high profile operators, Virgin Atlantic (79% of flights on time) ranked higher than Ryanair (77%), British Airways (74%) and Easyjet (66%).

And the Irish airline which topped the charts? That goes to Aer Lingus who had 82.28% of their flights arriving on time.

Lowest scoring airlines (AKA which airlines to take note of if you’ve a short flight transfer window) were Norwegian with just 59.86% of their flights arriving on time, and Icelandair, with 56.09%.
