Movehub, a website which helps people who are moving abroad, has put together a list of the most expensive countries in the world to live in, taking into account the cost of groceries, transport, restaurants, utilities and rent using data from the Consumer Price Index.
Here are the top 15 most expensive countries:

- Switzerland
- Hong Kong
- Iceland
- Singapore
- Norway
- Bahamas
- United Arab Emirates
- Qatar
- Luxembourg
- US Virgin Islands
- Australia
- Denmark
- Ireland
- USA
Our high ranking is probably not that shocking given we also have the 7th most expensive food in the world.
But, unfortunately, we can’t escape our problems by moving to Aus.
