The below Wonkandy confectionery product has been withdrawn from Irish shelves due to the presence of ‘sharp plastic sticks’.
The plastic sticks are affixed to some of the sweets and sharp parts may cause injury to consumers.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI ) is advised that there may be a similar issue with the following Wonkandy confectionery products:
- Cake Large New York
- Cake Big Rosa
- Cake Big Primavera
- Cake Big Arco Iris
- Cake Small Primavera
- Cake Small Croissant
- Cake Small Tutti Frutti Red
- and Cake Small Tutti Frutti Blue
The products are being recalled due to potential choking hazards – especially in small children.
Those who’ve purchased the product are being asked to return it from the store of purchasing.
