A 21-year-old Irish student has been named the Best Young Chef In Europe.
Aisling Rock, who is studying Culinary Arts at GMIT, was presented with the award in Barcelona yesterday.
She impressed the judges with her unique creation – Mackerel, Pickle and Sheep’s Yoghurt.
The dish was inspired by Galway traditions and used seasonal vegetables from the area.
We’re expecting great things from this one!
