The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has recalled one of Ben & Jerry’s most beloved flavours of ice cream, ‘Cookie Dough’, due to a “possible presence of small metal pieces”.
Yikes.
The recall applies to 500ml ‘Cookie Dough’ ice cream with an expiry date of January 2018.
The batch codes of the product in recall are L62110L011, L62111L011, L62112L011 and L62113L011.
Press notices have been released by consumer good giant Unilever in-stores, as well as notices requesting customers who’ve bought these batches of the ice cream not to indulge.
If you have eaten one of the above batches, or have any concerns, don’t panic, but contact 1800 946272.
