Christmas is just a few short days away and Irish people all over the world are heading home to be with their families.
Sadly for flight attendant Molly Blennerhassett, that won’t be possible, so her mam did the sweetest thing ever.
She made her daughter an entire Christmas dinner to bring on her flight back to Dubai, where she’s lived for the past year and four months.
Each different food item is in a separate resealable bag – even the gravy.
“There is a bag of gravy, stuffing, mashed carrot and parsnip, mashed potato and best of all, a small glazed and cooked ham,” said Molly.
“Zip lock Christmas dinner made with love.”
Molly will be working over the holidays and could only make it home to Kildare for a flying visit (no pun intended).
“I’ll be flying on Christmas Day to somewhere else – the only reason I got home was because I worked a flight to Dublin, so I only had 24 hours,” she added.
“It’s better than nothing so I count myself lucky!”
And so she should, because she definitely has one of the best mammies around.
