Three people were rescued from a sinking yacht off the coast of Wexford yesterday.
The Marine Rescue Coordination Centre in Dublin received a distress call from the yacht at around 4.30pm yesterday evening, reports Independent.ie.
The three casualties, two men and a woman believed to be from the UK, boarded their life-raft when the yacht began to sink near the Saltee Islands off Kimore Quay.
Rescue 117 attended the scene and rescued the casualties with the help of the lifeboat from Kimore Quay.
They were unharmed, however, their boat sunk and is unrecoverable.
