Today Is ‘No Bra Day’ And It’s For A Very Good Reason

Today, October 13th, is annual ‘No Bra Day’ and women are being encouraged to take a break from their bras to raise awareness about breast cancer.

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month and ‘No Bra Day’ has been taking place across the globe since 2011.

Women are getting behind the campaign and spreading the news across social media platforms using the hashtag, #NoBraDay in an aim to raise awareness about checking our breasts.

Performing your own breast self examinations only takes a matter of minutes, and could end up saving your life.

Here is a video from Breast Cancer Ireland explaining what to do:

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in Ireland and now one in nine women will have breast cancer in their life.

For more information you can visit the Breast Cancer Ireland website here.

Will you be taking part in the campaign?
