A great day for the parish.
It’s set to be the hottest day of the year today with Met Éireann forecasting highs of 21 to 26 degrees. Showers will break out in the early afternoon in some parts of Connacht and Munster but these will clear by early evening with “warm sunshine likely through the evening.”
Today’s temperatures will break the May bank holiday’s top temperature of 23 degrees which was cited as the hottest day of the year so far.
Tonight will be mild again with temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.
Sunshine is due again tomorrow with a “mixture of cloud once mist and fog patches lift with top temperatures reaching 21 to 24 degrees,” Met Éireann said.
Get out and enjoy the sunshine today and tomorrow because Met Éireann predicts more showers are on the way from Thursday onwards.
