County Louth is mourning the loss of a talented young GAA player who has tragically died while in Cyprus.
Dundalk Democrat reports that 19-year-old DCU student, Conor Morgan who played football with local team Dundalk Gaels has passed away while on holidays with his friends.
Local reports are suggesting that Conor fell from a balcony in the popular holidaying resort of Ayia Napa but this has not been confirmed.
Dundalk Gaels took to Twitter to share their grief at the loss of the young man.
“Dundalk Gaels regret to announce the death, while on holidays, of our club member, player and great friend Conor ‘Morgie’ Morgan. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family Paul, Blathnaid and Sarah at this incredibly difficult and devastating time.
“Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.”
The club would like to offer its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Conor Morgan from Dundalk Gaels.

This comes exactly one week after Thomas Owen Hughes tragically passed away after falling from a Magaluf balcony.
The 20-year-old’s body was found at the the Eden Roc apartment block last Sunday morning at around 11am with witnesses saying that “he fell from a height of around 20metres.”
