Darragh Murphy

A nationwide recall has been issued for three batches of a brand of baby milk due to the presence of undeclared fish.

Full details of the recall can be found on the Food Safety Authority of Ireland website, which identifies the specific batches that have been recalled.

Hipp Organic Combiotic First Infant Milk Starter Pack (1 from birth onwards), pack size: 6 x 90ml bottles and teats with the below best before dates have been recalled due to the possibility that it would be unsafe for babies with fish allergies.

Best before dates:

9 January 2020 with batch number: L-099191
11 March 2020 with batch number: L-162192
5 April 2020 with batch number: L-186191

The recall was issued on Thursday, December 12.

A statement from the company reads: “Hipp UK Ltd. is recalling the above batches of its Organic Combiotic First Infant Milk Starter Pack, as the product contains fish which is not declared on the label. This may make the implicated batches unsafe for those who are allergic to or intolerant of fish or its constituents.”
