Vaccine registration for 45 to 49-year-olds will open from tomorrow

James Fenton

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has said that the Covid-19 vaccine portal for 45 to 49-year-olds will open from tomorrow, Wednesday May 19.

mRNA vaccines, such as Pfizer and Moderna will be available to the group and the HSE expects some people from this cohort to receive their first dose by the end of this month.

Minister Donnelly confirmed the news in an interview with RTÉ earlier today and said that the system would begin with 49-year-olds and work down through the ages.

Over 1.5 million people in the Republic have now received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. 45 to 49-year-olds who wish to register can do so on the HSE website. Make sure to have your PPS number, Eircode, phone number and email address at hand.
