Animal abuse is one of the most heartless things you can do, yet sadly, it’s very prevalent in our country.
There are so many cases of abandoned animals and abused animals, it just makes you want to take them all in.
Earlier this week, Cara Rescue Dogs found a newborn puppy, who was still blind and deaf, stranded in a river in Offaly. Its mother was nowhere to be found, and its siblings were dead in a bag.
The puppies had been thrown into the river to drown.
Fortunately, this story has a happy ending.
Not long after the puppies were found in the river, the rescue team were informed of a collie who was dumped in a field – who had recently given birth.
They brought the dog, named Clara, back to where the rescued puppy, Splash, was being kept and what happened next has to be seen to be believed…
While they can’t say for certain until a DNA test is done, it’s pretty likely that the mother has found one of her babies.
The Rescue team are urging people to donate so they can fund this DNA test, and are looking for any information possible about the dog’s owners.
At least they’re together again.
