Watch Out – New WhatsApp Scams Are Doing The Rounds

Just two days ago we told you about a scam targeting Netflix subscribers. 

Well it seems you can’t even let your guard down for a minute, because now there are at least two WhatsApp ones doing the rounds in Ireland.

Scammers have taken control of the app, sending messages that appear to be from Argos and Lidl. 

The Argos one claims that the retailer is giving away €500 vouchers, while the Lidl one says it has “free coupons” to distribute. 

The URL then takes you to a fake website that either steals your personal info (Argos) or charges you money (Lidl). 

But all this unpleasantness has led to a pretty hilarious response from Lidl – check out that sass!
