GAA fans in the south of the country need no longer look enviously upon Dublin’s behemoth Croke Park.

Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork has undergone a massive renovation and the results are something else. The new 45,000 capacity ground in Cork boasts a state of the art gym, a premium level dining area as well as 1,500 sq m of meeting and conference space.

Wow.

As well as being used for GAA, the stadium is also being put forward as part of Ireland’s bid to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Sounds like a great way to show off the newest addition to Cork’s sporting landscape to a global audience.
