We’re already near the end of May and it’s fair to say we haven’t had any prolonged period of decent weather that’s worth writing home about.
Sure, there’s been warm enough days with decent spells of sunshine but we’d be looking for more than that after months of being holed up at home. Thankfully, Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather has some good news in the form of a prediction that’s sure to go down well with weather watchers.
In a post on Twitter, he said: ‘Overnight weather models continue to show high pressure from around the middle of next week. Still a bit away and subject to change but some nice settled weather still on the cards.’

According to his charts, temperatures could reach 17 degrees by the end of next week with plenty of sunshine on offer as well. With some wet and windy weather expected in the next day or so, at least we have something nice to look forward to.
