Ireland’s Gonna Be Proper Baltic This Weekend

James Fenton

Tell your ma if anyone rings, you’re not going out.

Snow is already falling in some parts of the country and we’ve been warned not to ditch the scarves and gloves just yet.

Temperatures in Ireland are set to drop to as low as -3 degrees tonight leading to severe frost and ice for the weekend.

According to Met Éireann, the bitter cold will continue to tomorrow with wintery showers of sleet and snow in the northeast, east and southeast.

Frost will be a feature of weekend on our roads around the country and motorists are advised to take caution.

So, like we said you’re best off cancelling all plans and curling up for a night in front of the TV.
