Twitter reacts to the latest vaccine news

Fiona Frawley

This morning, the millennials and gen Zers of Ireland woke up to some exciting news – pharmacies are to begin issuing J&J vaccines from next Monday.

There are many different sub groups within the age bracket of 18-34 but they all have one thing in common – when something big happens, they tweet about it. Obvs.

So far we’ve gotten by with no millennials trying to figure out what Hogwarts house the J&J vaccine is in and no gen z’s coming up with a post-vacc tiktok dance, but it’s all to play for at this early stage. Here are some of the most gas reactions we’ve seen so far anyway:

Catch us all in the vaccine queue trying to be down with the kids.

See also, I don’t feel like Janssen, no sir no Janssen today (that’s one for those waiting for Pfizer to sing) and I’m giving it my all, but I’m not the girl you’re taking home, I keep Janssen on my owwwwn”.

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

Allergic to speaking on the phone unless there’s a spice bag or life-saving vaccine involved.

An iCarly reference could be the only thing that brings millennials and gen z together.

They’re the hottest ticket in town tbh.

It’s the recoupling we never saw coming.

Hashtag you know the way yourself.

In all seriousness though, we’ve a candle lit for anyone working in a pharmacy this morning.

If you’re on hold trying to get an appointment yourself, I highly recommend a Twitter deep dive while you wait. It’s almost as important as the vaccine itself.
