We’re hosting a virtual summit for first-time buyers in Galway, Cork, Limerick and Waterford

national summit for first-time buyers in Cork

On October 15, join us for a virtual summit for first-time buyers!

Once again, we are bringing first-time buyers together (virtually) for advice, tips, tricks and all the information they could want, no matter what stage of the home-buying process they find themselves in.

In 2018, we launched Livin Dublin, a partnership with AIB which helps first-time buyers get onto the property ladder. Due to phenomenal demand for our summits and brunch clubs, we have since gone national to give assistance to first-time buyers and those hoping to become homeowners in other areas of the country. And we are back once again, this time for Galway, Cork, Limerick and Waterford.

On Thursday, October 15 at 7pm, we’ll be hosting another event for first-time buyers. As always, there will be a panel of experts who will give you all the necessary info to have under your belt in the pursuit of becoming a homeowner.

So, what can you expect?

First of all, there will be the main panel hosted by Brendan Courtney. You most likely know Brendan as a fantastic broadcaster and fashion designer, and we’re thrilled to have him back again to host our event.

Brendan will be joined by surveyor Lisa O’Brien who you’ll know from RTÉ’s Room To Improve. Lisa will talk about the importance of getting a house surveyed, how to go about it and what to look out for. She founded O’Brien Quantity Surveyors in 2006 providing a professional and personal service to both private clients and contractors. Lisa has a solid background in construction, having graduated from Bolton Street DIT with a Diploma in Construction Technology in 2000 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Economics in 2004.

The panel will also feature Head of Homes for AIB Dublin North and West Orla Gleeson, and she’ll be able to tell you everything you need to know about applying for a mortgage with AIB.

After the main panel discussion, you’ll be able to head into different virtual breakout rooms depending on where you’re looking to buy.

Limerick

The event will feature Head of Homes for Clare, Limerick and Kerry Mary-Rose Cantillon, who has 25 years of banking experience and has specialized in the mortgage market for the past three years, leading a team of Mortgage Advisors across Clare, Limerick and Kerry.

We will also be joined by Limerick estate agent Pat Dooley. Based on O’Connell Street, Limerick, The Dooley Group was set up in 2008 and is today recognised as a market leader in property sales and lettings throughout Limerick and beyond. With that in mind, you can expect some top tips and advice from Pat.

Cork

Plus, there will be Head of Homes for Cork South and West Anne-Marie Collins. She leads a team of dedicated Homes Advisors in AIB and has 16 years experience in banking, with the last three years specialising in the mortgage market for AIB.

Meanwhile, Patricia Stokes, Residential Manager and Divisional Director for Lisney Cork, will join us. Patricia has over 30 years of experience in the Cork residential property market with extensive knowledge in the sale of new and second-hand homes, so she will have a wealth of tips and advice for us.

Waterford

Head of Homes for Waterford Marian Keane, who has over 35 years of banking experience and has specialised in the Mortgage Market for the past three years, will also be there. She has a team of 17 Mortgage Advisors spread across Waterford, Kilkenny and Tipperary.

There will be Waterford estate agent Conor Purcell, who has worked in the family business, Purcell Properties, since 2002. He qualified via DIT Bolton St and is a member of RICS and SCSI.

Galway

Head of Homes for Galway and Mayo James Cleary will be in the Galway breakout room to give his advice and answer your questions.

Plus, Galway Estate Agent Colm O’Donnellan will be there to give his expert insights.
