It may not be Thursday, but we love a good #throwback photo – and this one is gas.
Conor McGregor has been showing his support for Chuck ‘The Iceman’ Liddell on Twitter.
Congratulating him on receiving his Hall of Fame jacket last week, The Notorious hailed him as being the one who inspired him to follow his fighting dreams.
Widely credited with bringing MMA into mainstream American sports and entertainment, Liddell was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame back in 2009 – when McGregor was only starting out his professional career.
11 years later and a lot has changed, with Liddell finally receiving his UFC Hall of Fame jacket.
Posting a hilarious throwback picture of the two together back in 2008, McGregor caption the photo:
“Thank you Chuck Liddell! Your work inside the UFC’s famed Octagon inspired me to chase my own fighting dreams, and for that I am forever grateful to you! Thank you and big congrats on your hall of fame entry.”

Fresh off a win against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, McGregor defeated his opponent within 40 seconds -the second quickest defeat of his career, topped only by his 13-second win over Jose Aldo in 2015.
