It Appears That 2019 Becoming Ireland’s Hottest Year Ever Could Be A Lot Likelier Than We Think

The new year is just around the corner and with that comes the annual predictions about what’s in store over the next 12 months.

As is often the case, the bookmakers are attempting to be ahead of the game when it comes to matters of 2019 and Boylesports has issued a statement with a few particularly interesting forecasts.

One which will definitely catch the eye is that 2019 becoming Ireland’s hottest year on record is priced at a fairly short 5/2, implying that a repeat of this year’s baking heatwave could well be in the works. To date, the hottest temperature in Ireland was recorded at Kilkenny Castle in June 1887, when the mercury rose to a whopping 33.3 degrees celsius.

On the other end of the scale, there was also some pretty extreme cold weather earlier this year but Ireland waking up to white Easter is a long shot at 25/1. That’s not to say we won’t see a repeat of the Beast From The East before that.

In the entertainment world, Boylesports prices an Oasis reunion at 10/1 while we’re 20/1 to finally win the Eurovision after 23 barren years. Let’s just say we probably won’t be banking on that one.
