Great News – Aircoach Is Introducing Contactless Payments On Airport Routes

Jen

Bus operator Aircoach will introduce contactless payments on all its routes.

It is the first bus operator in Ireland to offer this convenient option.

According to Newstalk, passengers travelling from Dublin city, Belfast, Cork and Dublin Airport can also use mobile payments like Google Pay, Samsung Pay and Apple Pay.

This will be dead handy when you’re back from holidays and you need to hop on the bus quickly.

Commenting on the new option, Managing Director of Aircoach Dervla McKay said it’s part of a wider programme of measures.

“We are delighted to become the first bus operator in Ireland to offer contactless payments to our customers on board our vehicles.

“Aircoach is always looking for ways to improve our customers’ travel experience and contactless together with the dual currency option it offers means they can now board our coaches with a simple tap of their card or device”, she said.

They have also recently introduced a ‘Track my Coach’ service which allows you to see when the next bus will arrive.

Aircoach expects to carry over two million passengers this year on their routes from Dublin city and the airport.
