Award Winning Ad Portrays The Horrors Of War Related Trauma With A Comforting Twist

This thought provoking ad portrays the horrors of war related trauma experienced by soldiers. This Guide Dogs TV commercial from the Royal Dutch Guide Dog Foundation (KNET Geleidehonden) shows the assistance a veteran dog can offer in helping a military veteran to cope with severe post traumatic stress disorder that sadly comes hand-in-hand with war.

This ad shows that guide dogs are not just for the blind with their ethos being that they not only help people who cannot see, but also those who have seen too much. The dogs are specially trained to wake soldiers from their nightmares. The commercial has recently won a Dutch commercial award- the Gouden Loeki 2014 and we can really see why.
