Kiara Keane

British Airways customers have been urged to contact their banks as soon as possible after a large amount of personal data was stolen.

Around 380,000 payment card details were stolen from BA customers between August 21 and September 5, it’s been confirmed.

The airline released a statement which read:

“British Airways is communicating with affected customers and we advise any customers who believe they may have been affected by this incident to contact their banks or credit card providers and follow their recommended advice.”

The data includes payment card details only and no travel or passport details were taken.

If you’re worried you may have been affected by the data breach you can find more information on the British Airways website here.
