Management at one Carlow hotel have expressed surprise at the venue being listed as a ‘confirmed’ vaccination centre for the county.
The full list of vaccination centres in every county across Ireland was revealed yesterday. However, while government claim that each of the 37 locations had been confirmed for use, management at Seven Oaks Hotel – the proposed venue for County Carlow residents – has suggested otherwise.
A screenshot shared on Twitter by Virgin Media news reporter Richard Chambers shows a statement from the hotel on the matter. It reads:
“Further to yesterday’s announcement that our hotel is to be used as the vaccination centre in Carlow we would like to clarify that this has not been confirmed to us from the HSE. The HSE did enquire with us last month but nothing has been confirmed at this stage.”
On the 37 vaccine centres, the Carlow site at the Seven Oaks hasn’t been confirmed yet and management were surprised by the announcement.

The post has since been deleted from the hotel’s Facebook page with Chambers adding that “they look forward to things being confirmed shortly”.
