‘Cat’s out of the bag!’ Ziba in Naas to reopen under new ownership

The new owners hope to ‘breathe life’ into the cafe once more.

Naas locals may know Ziba for its flavoursome toasties, immaculate pancake stacks and excellent takes on the classics – aka, rolls of the breakfast and chicken fillet variety.

The unit that houses Ziba was put up for rent earlier this year, and it’s now been confirmed that the café will be taken over by Froth Coffee, who also have a drive-thru premises at Monaghan’s Harbour Hotel in Naas.

In a post on Instagram, the Froth team wrote: “It’s official, we have taken over the ownership of Ziba coffee and we are hoping to breathe life into her once more!”

This will be the fourth café for Froth, who also have locations in Drimnagh and Clondalkin in Dublin.

The team confirmed that they would be keeping their nearby drive-thru café open, but that they were eager to give Ziba a new lease of life as well.

We just love this little spot so much we felt it would be nice to give it a heart once more rather than introduce yet another coffee shop to Naas.

Locals took to the comments section to offer their congratulations, with one person writing “you’d better be keeping their Veggie roll & vegan sausage rolls“.

Veggie pastry offerings at the new café are yet to be confirmed, but luckily the doors are due to open next Monday, so sausage roll fans will be able to check in then!
