Temperatures Set To Plummet As Low As 3°C Tonight In These Parts Of The Country

Kiara Keane

We’ve had a (mostly) great start to the weekend with temperatures thought to reach as high as 16°C in parts of the country today.

But sadly Met Éireann has confirmed that’s unlikely to last with temperatures expected to drop tonight – especially in the southeast.

The said, “Tonight will start off dry in many areas. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the northwest will gradually move southeastwards, clearing to the southeast around dawn.

“Scattered showers will follow into coastal areas of the west and north. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 8C, coldest in the southeast early in the night.”

As well as that, there’s growing fears that another storm could be on the way.

When asked about the possibility of a Storm, Met Éireann said that El Nino could hit Ireland but it would be hard to specify exactly when as you can only see it developing in the Atlantic.
