Film starring Olivia Coleman to start shooting in Kerry and they need extras

Olivia Coleman is on her way to Kerry to shoot a movie and extras are needed.

Jaysus, all of the Hollywood stars are landing on our shores as of late. Who can forget the Matt Damon visit last year. That was literally the highlight of everyone’s lockdown last Spring.

And of course, Hollywood heartthrob Patrick Dempsy is currently on the Emerald Isle filming the sequel to Disney’s Enchanted.

Now, Olivia Coleman is set to land in Kerry as she gears up to film her new movie there. The new movie, Joyride, is about a solicitor named Joy (Colman) who has just given birth to a baby girl but doesn’t feel ready to be a mother, so she is hopeful that her friend will adopt her baby. On the way to her friend’s house, her taxi is hijacked and she must consider whether she wants her daughter to be adopted or not.

Given the fact that Coleman is set to take the lead role, we reckon this will be one to watch whenever it gets released. And you could be in it alongside the Oscar-winning actress. Because they are currently looking for extras around the Kerry area.

The film will begin shooting in Tralee this summer extras of all ages, genders, and looks are required.

MoviesExtras said: “We are looking for hundreds of extras to take part in the production. Extras of every age, gender and look.

“They could be a day or a couple of days on set. It will be early starts and late finishes so your own transport is essential.

“[People must] be available full days for filming with potentially very early call times. They will need to have their own transport. Locations are a maximum of 40km from Tralee.”
