Filming for Line Of Duty series six is underway and the BBC has teased some images

It’s the news Line Of Duty fans have been waiting for as filming has begun on series six of the hit BBC crime drama.

The BBC has shared images from the set the new Line Of Duty series and the images feature Adrian Dunbar as Superintendent Ted Hastings as well as Martin Compston who plays Detective Sergeant Steve Arnott.

The pictures, which are sure to stir excitement in fans of the series, were released by the BBC Press Office and were accompanied by the caption ‘Mother. Of. God. First look images released as filming begins on series six of Line Of Duty.’

A post on the BBC’s website states that the sixth series ‘is set a year and a half on from the events of series five, and will feature a brand new case for AC-12, focused on an enigmatic Detective Chief Inspector, played by Kelly MacDonald.’

The post adds that ‘joining Line Of Duty for the first time this series are Shalom Brune-Franklin (Our Girl, Cursed), Perry Fitzpatrick (This Is England, I Am Nicola), Andi Osho (Kiri, Curfew) and Prasanna Puwanarajah (Doctor Foster, Patrick Melrose).’

Line Of Duty first hit our screens back in 2012 and has since gone on to become one of the must-watch crime dramas on TV. The first four series are now available to watch on Netflix, with the sixth season set to air on the BBC later this year.
