We might have a chance to befriend Miss Flo after all.

During her visit to Dublin last week for the premiere of her new film The Wonder, Florence Pugh hinted that she’d love to return.

Speaking on the red carpet outside the Lighthouse in Smithfield, Florence said she would “love” to move to “idyllic” Ireland.

Speaking to the Sunday World, the a-lister said:

There’s a reason why we’ve come back smiling, and it’s because of this place and its people.

Ireland, honestly, I was thinking about moving there. I absolutely loved living there.

The people are – there’s nothing like their hospitality. I truly, truly enjoyed every second of it.

Florence spent time in a different kind of Hollywood Hills while filming in Wicklow last year.

And became something of a Guinness connoisseur during her time here.

Set in the Irish midlands in the 1800s, The Wonder follows the story of a young girl who stops eating but remains alive and well. Florence plays English nurse Lib Wright, who is brought to a tiny village to observe eleven-year old Anna O’Donnell. The movie was filmed entirely in Ireland, and is the first Netflix film to do so.

Miss Flo herself has described the film as “special and unique” and one that “deserves to be seen on a big screen” as “the landscapes and score are desperate for a grander view”.

The Wonder is currently playing in cinemas across Ireland, and will be released on Netflix on 16 November.
